- I have a client who wants a 4-Color brochure produced. Being an owner of
- ProPage 4.0, Pagestream 2.2, and Pagestream 3.0i, I have several
- options. ProPage's registration is always hairline, and although they
- have a more intuitive and comprehensive Postscript output requester, the
- output in 4-Color tends to look washed out. Pagestream 3.0i's process
- separations do not work well, and until I receive a version form Soft
- Logik that says "THIS PRODUCT WORKS AS ADVERTISED," I'm holding off from
- using 3.0. That leaves me with Pagestream 2.2. When I upgraded to 3.0,
- I dumpped my 2.2 manuals (who would have thought that several years later
- I'd have to do this?) so I'm sorta stuck. And my real dilema is this. I
- want the job, but not unless I know for certain that I can produce the
- required results. I know that 2.2 will separate process seps, but I seem
- to be unable to create custom colors and to set my color picture's output
- line frequency. When I edit the graphic's coordinates, I've set the line
- screen to 45 degrees and the lpi to 133. I've chosen the Postscript
- printer driver and output the file to disk, but when I get my output
- back, it tells me the sep was output at 50lpi.
-
- So having gotten this far, can anyone tell me how to create custom colors
- in Pagestream and, equally importantly, how to output 133lpi seps?
-
- Thanks in advance!
